Rodden De Souza is a music teacher in Goa who has been performing since 1994 — at the state’s finest hotels, private events, weddings, and concert stages. He trained at the Department of Western Music at Kala Academy Goa, holds a Grade 5 Theory of Music from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music with distinction, and a Grade 2 Classical Guitar from Trinity College London with distinction. He performed for years as bassist and vocalist with bands including Climax and The Ultimate. He is not a hobbyist who picked up a guitar and started teaching. He is a working musician who spent 25 years on stage before he ever stood in front of a classroom.

In over 10 years as a music teacher in Goa, Rodden has worked with 500+ students — children as young as 7, teenagers, working professionals, and adults returning to music after decades away. His school in Calangute, North Goa offers eight courses: acoustic guitar, classical guitar, bass guitar, keyboards, ukulele, vocals, solfeggio, and music theory.
