Rodden De Souza has been performing music in Goa since 1994 — at Goa’s finest hotels, private events, and on concert stages across the state. He trained at the Department of Western Music at Kala Academy Goa, holds a Grade 5 Theory of Music from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music with distinction, and a Grade 5 Classical Guitar from Trinity College London with distinction. He is not a hobbyist who learned to teach. He is a working musician who teaches what he has lived.
His music school in Goa — based in Calangute, North Goa — is one of the very few in the region to cover eight disciplines under one roof: acoustic guitar, classical guitar, bass guitar, keyboards, ukulele, vocals, solfeggio, and music theory. In 2026, he organised the Young Talent Music Competition at Kala Academy — giving his students a real stage to perform on, not just a certificate to frame.
